CXO Excellence · Leadership · MBE™
CHROExecutive committees increasingly judge HR on enterprise outcomes: whether the workforce has the skills the strategy needs, whether leadership succession holds, whether culture and engagement show up in performance, and whether people risk is governed.
HR leaders who grew up in functional delivery often lack the workforce economics, organization design and analytics vocabulary to answer those questions with authority. The program builds that vocabulary and the methods behind it, module by module, across the full span of the modern CHRO mandate.
What you take away

Sponsors are usually a CEO or a sitting CHRO who wants the HR leadership layer to operate as a strategic peer group rather than a service desk. HR directors and vice presidents in line for the top people role gain the full enterprise mandate in one track.
Heads of talent, learning and people operations see how their specialties join up into workforce strategy and analytics. Senior HR business partners learn to hold their own with executive stakeholders on risk, spend and capability. Leaders from other functions who inherit a people transformation benefit from the design and change modules. A cohort spanning these roles reproduces the real HR leadership team.
Mastering Business ExcellenceCertification terms and policies applyEleven modules build the CHRO mandate in the order a new appointee needs them. Module one defines the strategic mandate and the value-creation map. Modules two to five cover the talent system: workforce planning and skills, acquisition and employer brand, learning and leadership development, then performance management and succession.
Module six moves to culture, employee experience and the manager's role in engagement. Module seven addresses organization design and decision rights, module eight the HR operating model, people analytics and data governance. Module nine covers change and transformation, and module ten employee relations, governance, misconduct risk and trust. Module eleven looks ahead to agentic AI, agility and human-centered leadership.

Because the CHRO mandate covers more disciplines than most executive roles. Workforce planning, talent acquisition, learning, performance and succession, culture, organization design, analytics, change and employee relations each receive a full module with its own methods and diagnostics, and an eleventh looks ahead to agentic AI and the future people function. The length allows depth in each while progressing in sequence, which is why it works best as a multi-month development track.
Module two explains why workforce planning became a strategic rather than administrative exercise, then teaches the shift from thinking in jobs to thinking in skills. Participants evaluate build, buy and borrow options for closing capability gaps and learn to run the full planning cycle, so the output connects to budgets, hiring plans and learning investment rather than sitting in a spreadsheet.
Yes, and it treats it rigorously. Module seven starts from the principle that structure follows strategy, then focuses on where alignment actually lives: decision rights, interfaces and governance. It compares operating models for agility, including squads, tribes and a stable-dynamic backbone, and ends with a sequenced redesign method and the failure modes that derail it.
Module eight takes analytics from descriptive reporting toward predictive insight and sets it inside a modern HR operating model with digital-first service delivery, automation and self-service. It also covers data governance, privacy and the ethics of people data, which analytics leaders are increasingly asked to own. Module four adds measurement of learning impact and return on capability investment.
Module six begins by defining what culture actually is, through its levels and signals, and where a CHRO has leverage over it. It then moves from espoused values to lived behavior, treats employee experience as a designed system and positions the manager as the engine of engagement. Module nine reinforces this with manager enablement as the decisive lever in any transformation.
Module ten frames employee relations as enterprise risk rather than casework. It examines the trust gap as a risk signal, shows how misconduct is manufactured through culture, incentives and weak oversight, and sets out the speak-up and governance architecture that prevents it. For a board sponsor, this module links the HR agenda directly to governance and reputation.
