About the SSLP Certification

Buyers research a seller before they reply to one. A thin profile, no visible point of view and a connection request that reads like a template end the conversation before it starts, and the sales team never finds out why.

Participants build the alternative: a profile that earns trust, a consistent voice on the topics their buyers care about, precise targeting of accounts and people, research that turns public signals into relevant openers, a tool stack, and an outreach sequence that moves from connection to conversation without resembling spam.

What You Will Learn

  • Explain how B2B buying moved online and where LinkedIn sits in the sales ecosystem
  • Distinguish genuine social selling from spam, digital prospecting and virtual selling
  • Adopt a value-first, advisor mindset aligned to the buyer's decision triggers
  • Rebuild a LinkedIn profile section by section so each part signals trust and relevance
  • Build a thought-leadership voice and engage with content to gain visibility with target accounts
  • Prioritize accounts and prospects precisely, then research people and companies for outreach signals
  • Assemble a social selling tool stack and run a personalized outreach sequence from connection to conversation
  • Run a multichannel prospecting rhythm, nurture connections into meetings and measure results including SSI

Who Is This Course For?

B2B companies whose sellers depend on outbound pipeline are the primary audience. Sales professionals and business development executives, including SDR and BDR teams, gain a prospecting routine they can run daily. Account managers use the research and engagement methods to stay visible inside existing accounts and reach new stakeholders there.

Consultants and founders who win work on reputation benefit from the personal branding and thought-leadership modules, and recruiters apply the same targeting and outreach techniques to candidate sourcing. Cohorts work best when a whole team enrolls at the same time, because content engagement and profile consistency are visibly stronger when colleagues reinforce each other's posts and messages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will our sellers be taught to automate LinkedIn outreach?

They will learn what the tools do and where the limits are. Module nine covers the modern social selling tech stack, Sales Navigator as the targeting foundation, prospecting, enrichment and CRM integration tools, and AI-powered personalization and multichannel platforms. The emphasis throughout, however, is on research-led, personalized outreach, and module two draws a firm line between social selling and spam.

How much of the content is about personal branding?

Two modules out of sixteen. Module five helps each seller define a professional niche and point of view, structure a thought-leadership narrative, keep voice and visual identity consistent, and measure audience growth. Module six then covers engagement with other people's content, which for most sellers is the faster route to visibility with target accounts than publishing alone.

How does the targeting and research part work?

Module seven sets out what precise targeting means on LinkedIn, the concepts behind it and the common pitfalls that fill a pipeline with the wrong names. Module eight then shows how to research people and companies, using LinkedIn and Sales Navigator, and which types of signal, such as role changes, posts or company announcements, make an outreach message relevant.

What does a good connection request look like after this?

Short, specific and about the recipient. Module ten walks through the full outreach sequence, from connection to conversation, with best practices for each step and the mistakes that get messages ignored. Participants rewrite their own requests and follow-ups using signals gathered in the research module, so the message references something real rather than a generic opener. Modules eleven and thirteen extend this into multichannel cadences and follow-up when there is no reply.

Is it relevant for people outside sales roles?

Yes. Recruiters use the same targeting, research and outreach methods for candidate sourcing. Consultants, founders and anyone who wins work on reputation benefit from the profile, personal branding and content modules. Account managers also find it useful for reaching stakeholders in existing accounts whom they have never met.

How do we roll this out to a dispersed team?

The program is 30 hours of self-paced online learning on the Blue Ocean learning platform, available on web and mobile, so sellers in different countries follow the same modules on their own schedules. Sales leadership tracks enrollment, progress and completion on the administrator dashboard, and a pilot cohort of one SDR team is a straightforward way to start.
